The Swift Solo is the high performance three sail single-handed skiff. It was designed in 2000 by Bram Dally and the class was formed in 2003. We currently have more than 90 boats either under construction or completed in 16 countries(see list).
Design and Construction Features:
S-glass / carbon Kevlar construction with beautiful cedar core (instead of foam) for extraordinary durability and a long competitive life
Self tacking / self sheeting jib for manageability, balance and speed
Stand up and walk through design for easy tacking and jibing
Self launching spinnaker and spinnaker pole with automatic halyard cleating and uncleating for quick and easy sets and douses
All carbon spars including spinnaker pole for easy righting and a lower center of gravity
Innovative on-boom sheet cleating and single sheet control system for main and jib—a must for three sail single handed sailing.
Jib halyard and tack adjustments led to both wings for easy jib luff and leech control
All standing rigging is adjustable on-the-water
Sailcloth and sail design oriented around long term durability and competitive life expectancy
3 years of non-stop research and development have produced the fastest easy-to-handle single-handed skiff available.
Design emphasis was placed on safety since single-handed sailing and training is often done outside of the view of potential rescuers. The rig and sail design was developed for on-the-water adjustability to permit rapid mast bend changes for de-powering.
Best of all, you can go sailing or racing without dealing with another crew members’ schedule. You’ll find yourself on the water far more often with significantly less hassle.
Our rules have an eye toward keeping long-term costs at a minimum while allowing running rigging innovation.

For those from the West, we're putting together a truck load of Swifts and Mustos to ship down and back. The price of transportation, the low cost of air fare and camping on the Island make this one of the most inexpensive paradise sailing vacations you'll ever get to attend. Just do it!
